Chapter 81: The Girl Taken in Sleep
The adorable Balance Fox, Hiiragi, had already slipped blissfully into dreams under Hao Ren’s meticulous petting. According to Orihime, she was replenishing her own depleted life force, since she had used Word Magic before arriving.
“So, this is what she wants?” Hao Ren raised the object before his eyes, scrutinizing it intently, while his other hand continued to gently stroke Hiiragi’s bushy tail.
“Precisely. The Balance Fox needs that item,” Orihime replied, her obsessive devotion to the Balance Fox evident. For reasons unknown, she acted with unusual reverence in Hao Ren’s presence, her entire demeanor taut and tense.
Hao Ren was toying with the so-called Equivalent Exchange Altar. No sooner had he brought it out than the miniature altar and the sleeping Hiiragi both began to glow. The altar’s shape twisted in a series of contortions, finally settling into a symmetrical polyhedron, the size of an apple, set with a row of square crystals.
“Lord Black Flame Dragon, this is the item the Balance Fox has always sought,” Orihime’s four obsidian-like auxiliary eyes on her forehead and her main gaze were utterly captivated by the polyhedron radiating a soft emerald light.
No matter how many times one saw it, this thing always drew the attention of women.
Item: “Wishing Scales.” Within reasonable bounds, one may ask the Balance Fox for any wish. When the Balance Fox fulfills the wish, the requester pays an equivalent price, and the Balance Fox herself also suffers certain side effects. (Exclusive item for the Balance Fox.)
Compared to the previous Equivalent Exchange Altar, its restrictions had increased, but the scope was broader. All in all, it seemed more valuable, but somehow it had become a summoner’s exclusive item for summoned creatures…
“Wait… Since you’re still someone else’s summoned creature, isn’t my taking you in a bit ridiculous?” Hao Ren absentmindedly put the Wishing Scales to his mouth and took a bite, then set it aside under Orihime’s plaintive gaze.
“Lord Black Flame Dragon, you worry too much. I don’t expect to become your summoned creature. As long as you’re willing to take in the Balance Fox, that’s enough. In return, you can ask anything of me without hesitation.” Orihime, once reserved, suddenly became sultry, her four legs disappearing as she pressed herself against Hao Ren, tracing circles on his chest with her slender finger.
“Hmm…” Hao Ren had surprisingly little reaction.
Had it been his own girl behaving this way, his blood would have boiled long ago. But being treated like this by the voluptuous Orihime—how to describe it…
For some reason, he just couldn’t get excited.
It felt impolite to spurn a girl offering herself, but seeing the lingering sadness in Orihime’s eyes, Hao Ren simply couldn’t enter an erotic mood.

His mind spun in circles, so Hao Ren chose to check his own attributes, hoping to find a solution.
Orihime became flustered at Hao Ren’s indifference.
Why was his reaction so different from the other males she’d observed?
Orihime glanced at her snow-white peaks starkly contrasted by her black lingerie, pinched her slender waist and full hips, and finally eyed her shapely legs wrapped in spider web stockings.
No difference from before. She remembered when her previous master, Blind Duck, accidentally summoned her. The onlookers drooled, and Blind Duck himself lunged at her, stripping from uniform to naked in midair. If she hadn’t acted decisively, transforming into a gigantic spider beast that frightened him and his buddies into frothing at the mouth, her skin would have been fondled thoroughly. She’d never been intimate with a male before…
Wait, why did I so naturally cling to Lord Black Flame Dragon?
Orihime’s not-so-bright mind suddenly caught up, and her pretty face flushed crimson.
Despite realizing her boldness, Orihime didn’t withdraw. She feared hurting Hao Ren’s pride—or perhaps, a man’s pride.
For example: a man boards a train and finds an empty seat beside a beautiful girl. Drawn by beauty and seeking relief for his tired body, he sits next to her. Then…
The girl decisively moves to the seat opposite.
The man feels utterly burnt out, suffering an unimaginable blow to his spirit.
A sad story.
This tale came from Hao Ren’s dorm-mate, Brother Roe Deer. Hao Ren witnessed the whole thing and shed tears of sadness… and kept photos.
Orihime was overthinking. Immersed in checking his items and stats, Hao Ren hadn’t even considered that angle.
Or rather, hadn’t had the chance.

Hao Ren was always self-aware. He never fantasized about heroines throwing themselves at him, nor about a crowd of underlings bowing beneath his sweatpants.
He hated the aura of a tyrant most of all.
Surrounded by Orihime’s trembling voluptuous body and Hiiragi’s warm, fluffy furball, Hao Ren noticed, on his long-neglected stats page, that a row of small text had appeared beneath his profession “Summoner.”
Innate Skill: “NTR” (no rank). When another player’s summoned creature voluntarily severs ties and loyalty to their original master drops below 30, the summoner may expend the total P points spent during the creature’s initial summoning and skill upgrades to forge a new summoning contract, forcibly breaking the original contract. (“Summoner’s Heart” and “Magical Contract” merged with the Summoner profession; hidden skill appears when the number of contracted female humanoid summoned creatures with loyalty above 85 exceeds ten; anime/game genre, female humanoid creatures only.)
NTR…
It didn’t feel like a Chinese term.
Hao Ren felt both familiar and strange with the word, as if his deleted hard drive contained many folders named after it—like “She Was Stolen From Me,” and so on…
No! He couldn’t let himself dwell on it. If he thought any deeper, he’d become someone weird.
“How many P points were spent when that Blind Duck summoned you? Did he ever help you upgrade your skills?” Having found a solution, Hao Ren turned sharply to question Orihime, only to find her face unexpectedly close, their noses nearly touching.
Having been absorbed in caring for the golden furball, Hao Ren now had a chance to carefully examine this enchantingly seductive lady spider.
“L-lord, what do you intend to do?” Orihime was so nervous her words came out in stutters.
Orihime’s cheeks felt Hao Ren’s breath—so warm.
PS: Filling this plot hole was inspired by my high school desk mate, whom I hadn’t seen in six years. But academic forums, book reviews, and thesis proposals have surged recently. My second year of grad school is overwhelming, so updates will be as frequent as possible. Please be gentle with your criticism.
