Author's Note on Official Publication

The book will officially launch tomorrow at noon!

It has been over half a year since I properly finished a book. This time, I am determined to work hard. It is a new beginning—let’s strive for success!

Regarding the update schedule: barring any unforeseen circumstances, there will be at least 10,000 words updated every day. I ask for your support with the initial subscription; I truly hope the numbers won't be too disappointing. I understand that students may not have the budget for reading, and I don't ask for much—if you find the book decent, at least supporting the first chapter subscription would be a great help.

Putting aside any talk to elicit pity, let’s discuss the book itself. Before writing this, I originally intended to write a "low-profile cultivation" story. However, after reading many similar books, I felt the concept of being "low-profile" was often incomplete. It felt like the characters were just timid or held back, being low-profile for the sake of it, which left me feeling unsatisfied.

Avoiding trouble is not the same as being afraid of it. If you encounter a situation and are fully prepared, that can also be considered "low-profile." Because one fears death, one stacks every possible buff, using saturation-level defense and offense to protect one’s life. Walking through the world with absolute preparation is also a form of being low-profile. That is why I shifted from a "low-profile" approach to a "steady and robust" approach for this story.

Of course, my abilities as an author are limited. Sometimes my thinking is rigid, and I don't consider things as comprehensively as I should, which leads to plot holes.

For example, there was the issue of dispersing cultivation, where I accidentally lowered the protagonist's realm as well. I originally intended to fix it later, but realized I hadn't written much about it, and the protagonist wouldn't be changing his cultivation technique again anyway, so I revised those specific chapters on the spot: he dispersed his elemental spiritual energy, not his realm.

Another example is the plot following Chapter 96, where the protagonist is targeted by Qi Chengzhan, who plants a bug on his robe. Readers pointed out: why didn't he just take the robe off? I spent a long time thinking about this yesterday afternoon, and it was indeed a lapse in judgment. My perspective was too narrow—like someone who only has a few sets of clothes and wouldn't just throw one away. I failed to realize that the bug could have been placed in his hair or on his neck, making the robe-removal plot hole unnecessary. That is my oversight. My original intention was to use this bug to draw out Qi Chengzhan and lead into the subsequent subplot involving the Old Demon of Black Cliff. Since my writing skill was insufficient to make it seamless, I will go back and polish it, changing it so that the bug was placed in his hair instead.

Additionally, some readers questioned why the protagonist would take action when he knew the Old Demon of Black Cliff was behind it. My thought at the time was that the protagonist had a full arsenal of talismans and a way to neutralize the old demon’s tracking methods. To him, killing Xiang Jingying was one thing, but taking out Qi Chengzhan as well was also within his reach. My intention was that the protagonist had already decided to leave the Immortal City and go on the run, which is why he chose to strike. This, again, was a failure in my clarity of expression.

Many hands make light work. I know my own limitations, so if you spot any issues, please feel free to point them out. I will take them into consideration and make adjustments accordingly.

With this book, I simply want to share the world of cultivation as I envision it.
