Another Surprise Awaits

Yin Xiaoya had never imagined that one day she would wear a diamond ring worth over a hundred million. Such a wonderful thing was something she wouldn't even dare to dream of, yet now it had become reality.

Xiao Yao said, "If you like it, just wear it. Don't worry about losing it; if you happen to lose it, I'll buy you a new one."

Just as the two of them stepped out of the private dining room, Yin Xiaoya's phone rang.

Yin Xiaoya picked up her phone to take a look, only to see it was a call from her mother, and she quickly answered it.

"Xiaoya, why haven't you come back so late? I made your favorite steamed mandarin fish, just waiting for you."

"Mom, look at me, I got so busy I forgot to give you a call. Today a few of my classmates and I are having a gathering, and we're currently eating at a restaurant. After eating, we're going to go sing karaoke, and it's probably going to be pretty late by the time we finish. I'll stay over at a classmate's place and won't be coming home tonight," Yin Xiaoya hastily fabricated an excuse.

"Another classmate gathering? Didn't you just have one a couple of days ago? You're a young lady; you should come back if you can. Staying out all night, Mom is worried." Yin Xiaoya's mother kept a tight rein on her.

"Mom, this is a special situation. Two classmates came from out of town, and since they traveled such a long distance, it wouldn't be appropriate not to accompany them." Yin Xiaoya had never lied to her mother her entire life. Telling a lie for the very first time made her heart flutter with nervousness.

After Yin Xiaoya hung up the phone, Xiao Yao said, "I can tell you're a good kid who has never lied before. Look how nervous you were; if you were speaking face-to-face, your mother would definitely have known you were lying."

"My mother is extremely strict with me and has never allowed me to stay out overnight. If she knew I was going to a hotel with you tonight, she'd surely beat me to death," Yin Xiaoya said with lingering fear.

Xiao Yao hadn't expected Yin Xiaoya's upbringing to be so strict. She was already in her early twenties, yet she was still kept on such a tight leash by her mother.

If her mother checked in on her every single day, his plan to be inseparable from Yin Xiaoya every night wouldn't be feasible.

This was a very realistic problem that needed to be resolved as soon as possible.

"A daughter belongs to someone else's family sooner or later and has to marry out. As long as she knows you're happy, your mother will understand," Xiao Yao consoled her.

When Xiao Yao and Yin Xiaoya arrived at the Taihe Hotel, he handed over his ID card. Upon seeing his name, the front desk receptionist's demeanor became even more respectful. "Hello, Mr. Xiao. The room you booked has already been decorated according to your requirements, and our hotel's general manager, Mr. Hong Jun, has been eagerly awaiting your arrival."

Having said that, the receptionist turned her head to look at a middle-aged man standing nearby and said, "General Manager Hong, Mr. Xiao has arrived."

Then, pointing to a glamorous beauty of around thirty years old standing beside him, he introduced, "This is the guest room butler we have arranged for you, Liu Yuanyuan. If you and Ms. Yin have any requests or any place you are unsatisfied with, you can notify the butler at any time. Liu Yuanyuan, including myself and all the staff of the Taihe Hotel, are at your dedicated service for your stay. May I wish you and Ms. Yin a wonderful mood tonight."

"I trust the service of the Taihe Hotel. Thank you for your hard work, General Manager Hong," Xiao Yao said calmly.

Hong Jun and Liu Yuanyuan accompanied Xiao Yao and Yin Xiaoya to the entrance of the guest room. Only then did Hong Jun stop in his tracks and say politely, "I won't go inside the room. If Mr. Xiao and Ms. Yin have any requests, you may instruct Liu Yuanyuan."

After Hong Jun left, Liu Yuanyuan opened the guest room door and said with a smile to Yin Xiaoya, "Ms. Yin, please go in first. Mr. Xiao has prepared a surprise for you."

"Another surprise?" Yin Xiaoya looked inside through the opened door. The presidential suite was blooming with fresh flowers, decorated everywhere with balloons and colorful ribbons, and the festive atmosphere of a newlywed celebration washed over her face.

Xiao Yao took Yin Xiaoya's hand and walked inside with her, asking with a smile, "Do you like it? Time was a bit rushed, so the preparation isn't very thorough."

The presidential suite of the Taihe Hotel was luxuriously decorated. Adorned with festive elements, Yin Xiaoya felt as though she had been transported into a luxurious mansion or an imperial palace. Such extravagant accommodation was something that had only ever appeared in her dreams.

Although Xiao Yao's haste made her a little uneasy, his attentiveness and romance warmed her heart to the core.
