The Tenglong Group, the most formidable special forces unit in all of China, had suffered devastating losses in their latest mission, with even their instructor killed in action. If this news were to spread, countless dark forces lurking in the shadows, waiting to pounce on China, would surely emerge to seize the opportunity and wreak havoc.

It was clear that the matter of finding a new instructor was of the utmost urgency.

"Yulin, call Wang Jisheng immediately. He should be with Master Lin. If Master Lin is in Binhai City, go and invite him back in person. This is a matter of great importance."

"I understand, Father!"

Knowing the gravity of the situation and the impossibility of delay, the Second Master of the Tang family grabbed his car keys and left without hesitation.

"Wang Jisheng, are you with Master Lin? I have a vital matter to discuss with him!"

"Second Master Tang, Master Lin went to the Yao Group today. He said he was there to divorce Yao Qianqian and resign from his position."

"The Yao Group? Very well, I understand."

Second Master Tang hung up, started the car, and the Porsche’s powerful engine roared as he shot out of the Tang family mansion.

...

At the Yao Group in Binhai City.

"Lin Feng, what wind blew you here? You’ve been working so sporadically, barely showing up; you’ve been on leave for almost two months! Did you miss me?" Wang Lun asked, draping an arm around Lin Feng’s shoulder with a wide grin.

"Nothing special. I came back to resign. After all, the Yao Group no longer holds any meaning for me," Lin Feng replied.

"Resign? You’ve achieved financial freedom that quickly? I suppose that makes sense; your villa alone is worth a fortune. Sigh, if I’d known you were such a big shot, I should have clung to you and let you take me to the top," Wang Lun said with envy.

"It’s not too late. I plan to start a business in Jinling in the future. You can come and help me; I’ll save a senior management position for you."

"Wow! Lin Feng, you really are my best brother!" Hearing this, Wang Lun realized Lin Feng wasn't just boasting, and he was thrilled. He went to hug Lin Feng, even leaning in as if to kiss him, only to be shoved away with all of Lin Feng’s strength!

Just as the two were joking around, a sharp, piercing voice cut through the air.

"You, wanting to start a business in Jinling? Don't make me laugh!"

"Manager Yao!" Wang Lun looked up and instinctively shrank back.

This pot-bellied, greasy, forty-year-old man was a manager parachuted into the sales department by the Yao family. He possessed little actual ability but had a temper as vast as the sky. If he didn't like someone, he would lash out with insults and dock their bonuses. Furthermore, he often harassed the female staff, his beady black eyes constantly leering at their stockings.

"So you’re Lin Feng? I heard from Xingye that you're Yao Qianqian’s husband, the live-in son-in-law of the Yao family? It seems all you’re good for is running your mouth."

"Resign to start a business? With your pathetic nature? I think you’d be lucky to get a job as a security guard in Jinling. Don't bother resigning—I’ll just fire you now. It’ll save me from having to listen to your drivel."

With an expression of utter disdain, Manager Yao pulled out his phone and dialed the HR department, shouting for the entire office to hear:

"Manager Li, I’m firing Lin Feng today. Yes, that live-in son-in-law. Send him the notice. And don't bother paying him for the extra month; just have him get out immediately!"

"Yes, that’s what I said. Make him leave right now. Send security up in half an hour to throw him out."

Manager Yao hung up, glanced at Lin Feng, and smirked triumphantly. "There, you can get out now. Don't let the door hit you on your way."

"Manager Yao, please, calm down. Lin Feng was just joking with me. Please don't take it to heart!" Seeing the situation escalate, Wang Lun stepped forward to smooth things over.

"Joking? You’re joking around during office hours? Very well, Wang Lun, your bonus for this month is gone. If you do it again, you can pack your bags and get out too!"

Manager Yao puffed out his belly, glared coldly, and turned on his heel, leaving as if the two of them were beneath his notice. No one in the Yao family looked up to Lin Feng; they all saw him as nothing more than a useless, penniless son-in-law. This was especially true for the branch of the family Manager Yao belonged to, who treated Lin Feng with even greater hostility.

"Sigh, buddy, that’s all I could do for you. Being fired is about the same as resigning, so don't take it to heart," Wang Lun said with a dejected sigh, patting Lin Feng’s shoulder.

Lin Feng didn't mind; it actually made things simpler. Now, all that was left was to sign the papers with Yao Qianqian and finalize the divorce.

...

At the same time, Second Master Tang was speeding in his Porsche, headed straight for the Yao Group headquarters. He walked into the main conference hall single-handedly and kicked the door open.

"Where is Lin Feng? Is Lin Feng here?"

Having been raised as a pampered young master, the arrogance of the elite was ingrained in his bones. Furthermore, the Yao Group was merely a third-rate family business in Binhai; kicking down a door was nothing, and he could have bought the entire company without breaking a sweat.

*Bang!*

The conference room door flew open, and the gathered Yao executives were stunned. Who was this person, kicking down the door just to find Lin Feng?

Yao Jianghe, Lin Feng’s uncle who was presiding over the meeting, was instantly incensed. He slammed his hand on the table and roared, "Who are you! Where is security? Can't you see someone is barging into our meeting?"

"Looking for Lin Feng? I assume you’re one of his low-life friends. Let me tell you, this is the Yao Group, not a place for you to act out. You have no manners at all!"

"Who am I? My name is Tang Yulin, the Second Young Master of the Tang family. How about that?"

Facing a third-rate family like the Yaos, Second Master Tang was overwhelmingly imposing, his eyes fierce and his presence suffocating.

"Tang Yulin?"

Yao Jianghe was terrified, his forehead breaking out in a cold sweat as he frantically pulled out his phone to verify. Upon confirming the identity and face of the man, Yao Jianghe nearly collapsed into his chair. This was the Second Young Master of the top-tier Tang family of Binhai! With his influence, he could bankrupt the Yao family in minutes!

"Oh my, I didn't realize it was you, Second Master Tang! I am blind to have failed to recognize you. Please, forgive my transgressions. Please, take the seat of honor."

"May I ask what brings you to our humble company?"

Yao Jianghe’s attitude shifted as quickly as flipping a book. He greeted him with a fawning smile and even vacated his own chair to invite the Second Master to sit.

"Are you deaf? I said I’m looking for Lin Feng. Bring him to me immediately."

"Lin Feng? Please, rest assured, I will have that boy here to see you at once!"

Yao Jianghe patted his chest in a desperate bid to please, then pointed his finger and barked, "Yao Qianqian! Go and get that brat Lin Feng here this instant!"

Facing the Second Master, he was a total sycophant, but when directing Yao Qianqian, he was full of pompous authority—a true hypocrite.
