Fang Wenxuan stopped paying attention to Lin Bing after he finished speaking. He sat on the long bench opposite Lin Hui’s hospital room, his eyes fixed on the door.
Cheng Fei arrived at the hospital three minutes later. As soon as he arrived, he looked at Cai Zhuoyin and asked anxiously, "Deputy Captain Cai, how is Huizi?"
"Captain, Huizi is fine. He just finished surgery; he’ll be alright once he wakes up," Cai Zhuoyin replied, looking at Cheng Fei.
"Who picked up that man in black?" Cheng Fei asked, looking at Cai Zhuoyin.
"It was a motorcycle. I suspect the motorcycle had been waiting there the whole time, ready to whisk the man in black away as soon as he completed his mission," Cai Zhuoyin said.
Cheng Fei nodded, looking at Cai Zhuoyin and Fang Wenxuan.
They had traveled a long way out of the city, which had taken quite some time. Ni Yexin could only feel lucky that he had eaten some snacks earlier; he had no idea when he would be able to have a proper meal given all this back-and-forth. However, he wondered if he would throw up when he saw the head of the Second Young Master Peng later.
Just as Ni Yexin was laughing incessantly, the sky was still dark, but in the distance, the area was brightly lit.
In the old factory not far ahead, a sudden, deafening explosion erupted, accompanied by flames shooting into the sky.
After the competition ended, the crowd dispersed. Tao Xiu grabbed Gu Qingkuang’s jacket and ran to the changing room to find him.
"Twins? I’ve been here so long, and this is the first time I’ve seen them," Li Yue realized. So, they were twins.

How much a piece of clothing cost was just a number to them—a number that often didn’t even register—but for families like that, that same amount of money was likely their living expenses for an entire lifetime.
With a loud crash, glass and water splattered everywhere, and several variegated green plants withered on the floor.
Su Yao followed Lu Dongting back to the hotel. He drove the whole way in silence. Su Yao leaned back in her seat, staring blankly at the night scenery as it retreated past the window.
Resting her chin on her hand, Kas lowered her eyelids and thought seriously: Who had hidden the post? She could almost imagine the ostracization she would face if she didn't appear at the banquet later, which would mean she had lost the qualifications to ever enter those inner circles again.
"Scheming against the Water Gate is such a boring business compared to our grand dreams. What we need to do now is survive, intact, until they slaughter each other, until they are old, weak, sick, and disabled," Yunkong replied.
Lu Zheng’s lips curled into a wicked smile. He wore a casual short-sleeved shirt and held his hands loosely at his sides, yet that relaxed posture was enough to defend against any attacks coming his way.
In front of the corpse, there were remnants of strong barrier fluctuations; it seemed something had been used to block an attack, but it had eventually been breached.
