All four pieces of equipment completely missed the agility category, leaving Zhang Shan only able to roll for materials.

"Damn it, are agility classes not even human? Not a single useful drop—this is ridiculous," Feng Yun Cannon complained angrily.

No one paid him any mind. That’s how it is when fighting bosses—if the gear you need doesn’t drop, what can you do?

Even if it does drop, if you don’t win the roll, it’s all for nothing unless you solo the boss yourself.

That’s the nature of gaming—luck is everywhere.

The four pieces of equipment were all rolled away by others. Boss Wu even joined in to roll for an intelligence robe.

However, his luck was poor; he just rolled the dice without any gain.

The last red material was rolled for by everyone.

Zhang Shan casually tossed the dice—92 points.

Not bad, but soon a top player rolled a perfect 100.

Zhang Shan was in tears. After defeating a red-tier boss, he got nothing but a few hundred thousand experience points.

Boss Wu also failed to win any items, but he leveled up twice.

Leveling up is easy when you’re low level—just a couple hundred thousand experience points can push you up two levels.

True difficulty in leveling only comes after level twenty-five; before that, it’s not so hard.

After distributing the loot, they sought out the next boss to fight with less than ten minutes remaining.

“Let’s go. Next boss—just hoping for a skill book for my class,” Zhang Shan said.

“You don’t look so great, but your hopes are high,” someone teased.

The bosses near the guild base were already marked on the map, and others were attacking them.

But during the Monster Siege event, the number of bosses was huge—impossible to clear them all.

Zhang Shan's team found a nearby orange-tier boss, an elite captain of the Demon Race, which they had fought in the last event. It was simple.

“Our gear is much better than last time. Do you think we can take down two orange-tier bosses in under ten minutes?” Zhang Shan proposed.

“Six-Gun, that’s tough. Killing one boss with ten million HP is doable if we all attack together, but there are so many elite mobs to clear,” one replied.

“Yeah, maybe just one more after this,” another said.

“We don’t have to clear the small mobs. Ten or so people can just hold them off while the rest focus on the boss. Thirty people hitting ten million HP—let’s see if we can finish in five minutes,” Zhang Shan suggested.

“Alright, let’s try,” Feng Yun Tian Xia organized ten people to hold the mobs while the rest concentrated on the boss.

Zhang Shan sent his panda pet forward to pull the boss out, while the ten held back the smaller monsters, drawing them away.

The rest swiftly began attacking the boss alongside Zhang Shan.

“Use all your skills, don’t hold back. Let’s finish quickly,” Feng Yun Qing urged, casting a curse on the elite captain. Zhang Shan immediately activated his Berserk and Frenzy skills.

An enormous burst of damage followed.

The Demon Race elite captain’s health rapidly fell.

“After fighting bosses with over a billion HP, bosses with ten million HP feel like nothing—easy to kill,” someone remarked.

“Stop bragging, just keep attacking,” another scolded.

“I’m just telling the truth,” he replied.

“Truth my foot. With you on damage, the boss probably heals faster than you can hurt it,” someone mocked.

“Hey now, who do you think you’re looking down on?” Zhang Shan retorted.

About thirty people, including several support players, were hitting the boss, while ten others chased groups of elite mobs around.

There was no way to clear hundreds of elite monsters, so they simply held them off.

“Hurry up, guys. Too many elites to hold off,” someone complained.

“Trash, can’t even handle ten small mobs each?” another mocked.

“Don’t joke—do your mobs have a hundred thousand HP or what?”

“No worries. Just pull the mobs far away. Even if some of us die, by the time the mobs return, we’ll be nearly done,” someone assured.

“But if they go too far, won’t we miss out on experience?” another questioned.

“Bro, experience is nothing to you. Missing a little won’t hurt,” came the reply.

“Damn it, I want experience! I need to level up!” the other protested.

Despite the complaints, they pulled the elites far away.

Now it was up to Zhang Shan’s team to output damage on the boss without interference.

If they were fast enough, they had a chance to kill two orange-tier bosses within the remaining time.

“Brothers, let’s give it our all,” Zhang Shan encouraged.

“Keep three supports to heal the panda pet, the rest attack the boss,” Feng Yun Tian Xia instructed.

Seeing Zhang Shan’s panda pet tanking the orange-tier boss with ease, they realized heavy healing support wasn’t necessary.

Everyone piled on damage. Though supports dealt less damage, having more people attacking was better.

Under their powerful assault, the boss’s health dropped swiftly—eighty percent, sixty, forty, twenty.

When the boss entered its enraged state, the damage output sped up, and soon it fell to the ground, defeated.

“Let’s go for the next one. We’ll split loot afterward.”

This boss took less than five minutes to kill, and with about five minutes left in the event, they had a chance at another.

Feng Yun Tian Xia led everyone toward the next boss, recalling the ten players holding the elite mobs.

Using the same tactic, they defeated the second orange-tier boss just before the event ended.

“Haha, we took down one red and two orange bosses—so strong, I’m really impressed with ourselves,” someone laughed.

“You’re impressed? That’s got nothing to do with you,” another shot back.

“How could it not? I did a lot of damage, too.”

“You can’t even make the top ten on the damage chart. What output?”

“Is it so easy to get into the top ten? You’re such a stubborn grump.”

“Alright, the event’s over. Let’s divide the loot.”

Feng Yun Tian Xia displayed the drops from the two orange bosses.

Three orange items, two purple, two orange materials, and a skill book.

The orange-tier bosses had dropped another skill book—just like last event, it was a Berserker dual-wield skill.

“Wow, are the developers especially favoring Berserkers now? Why do they always drop Berserker skill books? Can we get something for other classes, too?”

“Exactly. Do we have to go fight mage bosses next time? These dummy mobs keep dropping warrior gear—it’s unfair.”

“Not just skill books, the gear is mostly strength-based. As an archer, I barely see any agility items.”

“Damn, two out of three orange items are strength gear again.”

“Can’t help it. We just can’t beat the magic bosses.”

“Not all magic bosses are impossible; some we can beat, but they keep killing people and slow down the pace.”

“That’s the point—monster siege events demand speed. If people keep dying, how can we get anywhere?”

“Enough chatter. Let’s quickly roll for the loot and get upgrading.”

Feng Yun Tian Xia began rolling for five pieces of equipment and two orange materials.

Only a pair of purple boots and two materials related to Zhang Shan showed up; the other four pieces weren’t agility gear.

None were of use to him.
