Recalling the events near Dragon Island, Heiyu immediately pulled Bai Shengye aside and whispered, "The matter concerning Grandmother Dragon... you didn't tell the Headmaster, did you?"

Bai Shengye caught on at once. "I'm not stupid. She gave me gold; why would I say anything?"

The two returned to their original spots, acting as if nothing had happened. Heiyu thought to himself that Grandmother Dragon helping the demon race was a noble deed; perhaps she had to keep it secret due to pressure from the Pantheon, so it was better to keep her secret.

"Thank you both for your hard work in coming to see me. Is there something you need?"

Only then did Bai Shengye move to the desk, his expression turning serious. "Teacher Yun Lan, there is indeed something..."

"Go ahead."

Yun Lan rarely saw such a grave look on Bai Shengye's face and knew it must be important.

"During our trip to the south, I conducted research on Heiyu’s blood and discovered that it contains the key components needed to develop an anti-magic potion. The development process is currently going very smoothly. Once successful, it can first be used by the soldiers stationed at the Border Wall. However, I hope that it can be promoted under the Academy's name."

Hearing this, Yun Lan was overjoyed. He nodded repeatedly and stood up, saying, "This is excellent news. For the entire continent, an 'anti-magic potion' is unprecedented. On behalf of the Magic Academy, I fully support your research!"

"You approve? Thank you, Headmaster! But I have one more request... I currently lack a dedicated research facility. If the Academy could provide a space and funding... I am willing to donate all profits from the future sale of the anti-magic potion to the Academy!"

"No problem. Leave it to the Academy to arrange. I will find a suitable research location for you as soon as possible."

Bai Shengye felt relieved, bowed respectfully once more to thank Headmaster Yun Lan, and then left the office with Heiyu.

On the first day of S-Class, Ling Xiaolei and Shen Zai-guo followed Heiyu all the way to the classroom door at the end of the top-floor corridor.

Heiyu swaggered inside, only to find Yixin already seated in the window seat in the front row. Heiyu walked up, tapped on Yixin’s desk, and sat on the edge of it, leaning sideways. "Hey, I’ve claimed the window seat. Move over."

Veins bulged on Yixin’s forehead. "You looking for a beating again, kid? What, want to fight?"

With the room full of empty seats, Yixin was the only one sitting there, and Heiyu’s insistence on taking his spot felt to Yixin like he was just looking for trouble.

Ling Xiaolei looked into the room with wonder, filled with envy. She knew this classroom had always been locked and was quite mysterious; today was a rare chance to take a peek. Not just her, but students from other classes also gathered around, standing on tiptoe to peer inside.

"Hi, beauties!"

Just then, a familiar voice sounded as arms suddenly draped over the shoulders of Ling Xiaolei and Shen Zai-guo.

"Bai Shengye!"

Ling Xiaolei knew it was him without turning around; she immediately got goosebumps and dodged away. Shen Zai-guo’s face flushed red, and she retreated to the side.

Bai Shengye entered the classroom and saw the two at the window, locked in a standoff and ready to fight at any moment.

"I didn't expect to be in the same class as you two. You offensive-type mages better train hard; don't hold back a potion-maker like me."

Yixin and Heiyu turned their heads at the same time, glaring at him viciously. "What are you acting so smug for, you support-type healer!"

At the door, Shen Zai-guo said goodbye to Ling Xiaolei: "Sister Ling Xiaolei, I believe you will soon reach the late-stage realm. Brother Heiyu and I will be waiting for you in S-Class."

The melodious sound of a bell drifted in from outside; it was time for class.

Yixin, not wanting to bicker with Heiyu over the seat, decided to be the bigger person and moved to a seat by the door. Bai Shengye sat to the right of Heiyu. Shen Zai-guo sat behind Heiyu. A moment later, Lingmeng walked in, glanced at the few in the front row, and took a seat between Bai Shengye and Yixin.

The classroom had four rows of seats, each person at their own desk. Soon, the other S-Class students entered. They had all been selected through yesterday’s qualifying tests; only ten in the entire grade were chosen, each gifted with outstanding talent. Even after everyone was seated, more than half the room remained empty.

Headmaster Yun Lan entered the classroom. He was still wearing his pristine white magic robes, with a light blue cape symbolizing the wind element, and the Saint Archmage badge on his chest shimmering brightly.

The students looked at him with reverence as he walked to the podium, sitting in quiet, upright postures.

He placed a thick magic book he had been carrying onto the lectern and opened with his signature gentle smile and kind tone: "My dear students, um..."

"Hello, Headmaster!"

Before Yun Lan could finish, the students responded with a loud greeting.

Yun Lan smiled slightly. Due to his frail health, his voice was not loud, but it was infectious. He looked a bit flustered.

"Um... hello, students. For the coming year, we will be spending our days together. This class was created specifically for the Magic Combat Tournament, and I will conduct targeted training based on each of your unique traits. In the future, you can just call me Teacher Yun Lan... is that alright?"

He looked at the students, seeking their approval.

The students suddenly felt that this Headmaster had no airs at all and was, in fact, very approachable. Everyone relaxed and laughed, saying, "That's fine, Teacher."

Bai Shengye, sitting directly facing the podium, rested his chin on his hand and said lazily, "Teacher, you don't need to be nervous. You're making us nervous too."

The atmosphere instantly livened up, and the students no longer felt constrained, laughing along.

"Then, I look forward to working with you all," Teacher Yun Lan said. Unnoticed, he channeled wind magic, lifting a stack of books from the doorway.

The books hovered in the air, and with a wave of his hand, they glided gently across the room and landed in each student's hands.

"Wow!" Everyone marveled at the teacher's magic.

A book moved quickly and precisely into Heiyu's hands. As he reached out to take it, a sudden inspiration struck him.

The displacement from one point to another—if it wasn't by means of wind, but by skipping the distance in between entirely... wouldn't that be... spatial shifting!

And to what extent could such a shift be achieved? What was the maximum distance that could be traversed instantly?

Assuming one could cross a vast distance from here to reach a point in the Southern Forest in the next second—theoretically, could that be done? And if the distance crossed was even greater, could one potentially travel directly to another spacetime realm?!

As Heiyu pondered this, he realized that he had been obsessed with the study of the "Dark Incantation of Spacetime" for the past few days, and he was beginning to grasp its essence more and more.
