Old Madam Su nodded and said, “How much money do we still have? I’m talking about the Su family’s communal assets.”

The Su family’s wealth was immense—at the very least, several hundred million—but it was all scattered, held individually by each family member. For example, Old Madam Su had her own savings, Su Tianming had his, and so did Su Qingli’s branch of the family.

The communal property, however, was not particularly substantial. Aside from the medicinal herbs business, the current family funds probably didn’t exceed twenty million.

“Grandmother, don’t worry. The Su family’s public assets still amount to over seventeen million. If I contribute some and the others chip in as well, it would be easy to gather thirty or forty million. Why not use this money to buy a villa for you? It would be a token of our filial piety as your children and grandchildren.”

Su Tianming’s words delighted the old lady. Her face broke into a wide smile as she nodded happily, “Good, good, I appreciate your thoughtfulness. If that’s the case, I’ll leave this matter in your hands.”

“Grandmother, I’ve already set my sights on a villa. Why don’t we go see it this afternoon? I’ll call the others so we can all view it together,” Su Tianming pressed while the iron was hot.

“Where is this villa? Is it expensive?” Old Madam Su asked immediately.

Su Tianming chuckled, “It’s in the eastern suburbs, not far from here, and the price is a real bargain—just thirty million!”

“Very well, we’ll go have a look together this afternoon,” the old lady agreed, beaming with joy.

At noon, Jiang Hao went to the department store to buy a ribbonfish, then personally cooked himself a sweet-and-sour ribbonfish.

Living in Su Qingli’s home, Jiang Hao was like a servant, handling the cleaning and cooking. Over the years, his culinary skills had become quite impressive.

Although he didn’t possess a professional certificate, with his skills, he could easily qualify as a head chef at an ordinary restaurant.

Savoring his sweet-and-sour ribbonfish, paired with a bottle of imported red wine, Jiang Hao felt life was simply too comfortable, too enjoyable.

After lunch, he made his way to the backyard of the villa.

There was a small swimming pool of about forty square meters. After filling it, Jiang Hao plunged in and swam with abandon.

Such a life would make any ordinary person green with envy.

At that moment, his phone, left by the poolside, began to ring loudly.

He picked it up and glanced at the screen—it was none other than Zhao Ziyun, the young master of the Zhao family.

Jiang Hao thought for a moment before answering.

“Hello, Mr. Zhao, what makes you call me so suddenly? Is there some new development with your father’s illness?” he asked, testing the waters.

On the other end, Mr. Zhao laughed heartily, sounding in high spirits.

After laughing, he said, “Mr. Jiang, my father is in excellent health now. His illness is completely cured. It’s all thanks to you, Mr. Jiang. When you have time, I must treat you to a nice meal to express my gratitude!”

“It was nothing,” Jiang Hao replied offhandedly.

Zhao Ziyun’s tone then shifted slightly. “I actually called you today about something else.”

“What is it?” Jiang Hao asked, puzzled.

“It’s like this, Mr. Jiang. There’s been a minor mistake at the Zhao Real Estate Sales Center. A staff member is currently leading a group of people to your villa.”

“Why are they coming to my villa?” Jiang Hao was truly baffled.

He had already purchased the villa in the eastern suburbs, and the property deed was in his hands. It was unquestionably his personal property now. Why would staff from the Zhao Real Estate Sales Center bring a group to his villa?

Were they coming for a tour?

This was his home, not a tourist spot in Maple Leaf City!

Coming here for sightseeing was a joke!

“That’s exactly why I said there’s been a mistake. This villa was still listed for sale at our center under my father’s name. Although it’s been sold to you, our records haven’t been updated yet. So, a staff member, due to oversight, thought the house was still unsold and used the spare keys to bring clients to view it. We can’t reach that staff member right now, so I’m calling to notify you, hoping you won’t misunderstand,” Zhao Ziyun explained with a tone full of apology.

Given his attitude, Jiang Hao couldn’t blame him. After thinking it through, Jiang Hao asked, “So what do you want me to do? How should I handle this?”

“If they really arrive, just explain the situation to them. I’ll deal with the staff member seriously afterward, and I apologize for the inconvenience,” Zhao Ziyun replied earnestly, his tone genuinely sincere.

As the eldest son of the Zhao family and general manager of the Zhao Group, and since his father Zhao Shibo had not been involved in family or business matters since his coma, Zhao Ziyun’s position was virtually equivalent to chairman.

Despite his lofty status, Zhao Ziyun spoke to Jiang Hao with such sincerity and humility, without any airs. It was clear that he was not only adept in business but also in dealing with people.

A man like that was destined for success; barring unforeseen circumstances, he would surely expand the Zhao family business to even greater heights.

Jiang Hao felt admiration for Zhao Ziyun, and since it was not a major issue, he readily agreed.

After hanging up, Jiang Hao climbed out of the pool, took a shower, and changed into casual clothes.

Almost as soon as he was dressed, several luxury cars parked at the gate.

A group of people got out, led by a saleswoman, and opened the villa gate to enter the courtyard.

Jiang Hao glanced out the window, and his expression instantly turned odd.

For the people stepping into the courtyard were none other than the Su family!

Old Madam Su, Su Tianming, Zhang Liping, Su Bingming—all were present. Even Su Qingli was among them!

Who would have thought the prospective buyers were them? They’d practically walked right into Jiang Hao’s hands!

Jiang Hao smiled to himself, an idea taking shape in his mind.

In the villa courtyard, the Su family was busy surveying the surroundings, pointing and commenting animatedly.

They were all satisfied with the villa; after all, this had once been a seventy-million mansion, now available for only thirty million. It was not just a bargain—it was a steal!

If they weren’t satisfied with this, they were simply too greedy.

“Grandmother, what do you think of the villa? The yard is spacious, the lighting is excellent—you can bask in the sun all day, much better than our ancestral home! If you live here, your recovery will be faster and more complete, with no lingering ailments,” Su Tianming said eagerly, sticking close to the old lady’s side.
