Chapter 50: Are You Out of Your Mind?
"I'm about to die of anger watching this video. How can someone not cherish such a wonderful sister and keep causing trouble all day long?" The people who used to insult Ruan Wei with such cutting words now turned their sharp tongues on Ruan Cha, defending Ruan Wei with just as much fervor.
They called her heartless, accused her of lacking any sense of family.
And then, when the school still hadn't decided whether to expel Ruan Cha, someone actually showed up at the school gate to confront her.
As Ruan Cha and Shen Susu walked out together, a woman wearing a mask suddenly rushed at them, a full bottle of mineral water in her hand.
The instant Ruan Cha saw the look in the woman's eyes, she instinctively wanted to shield Shen Susu behind her.
But before she could react, Shen Susu saw the woman raise the bottle and immediately pushed Ruan Cha aside.
The heavy bottle, its hard cap, smashed into Shen Susu's forehead.
Her fair skin instantly split open under the blow, blood welling up beneath the surface.
A moment later, blood began to stream from the wound.
Ruan Cha's gaze turned icy cold.
She quickly supported Shen Susu.
The masked stranger, realizing she hadn't hit Ruan Cha, reached into the shopping bag she was carrying and pulled out a carton of eggs she'd prepared in advance.
She began hurling them mercilessly at Ruan Cha.
The chill in Ruan Cha's aura deepened with every blow.
As the woman threw the eggs, she shrieked, her voice shrill, "Girls like you who destroy families—why aren't you dead yet?!"
"Shameless! Was your mother only good for seducing men when she gave birth to you?"
The woman's voice immediately drew a crowd. As people recognized Ruan Cha, they looked at her with scorn and malicious delight.
Not a single person stepped forward to help.
In fact, more and more people gathered, joining in to hurl insults at Ruan Cha.
"Shameless!"
"Little tramp!"
"No shame at all!"
The crowd pressed in tighter, making it nearly impossible for Ruan Cha to help the injured Shen Susu leave.
Her bright eyes grew as dark as ink, her gaze cold and restrained as she glanced at those around her.
The next moment, a jet-black car roared up, its horn blaring, cutting through the crowd with ruthless force.
The mob scattered in panic.
The car screeched to a halt in front of Ruan Cha and Shen Susu.
The door swung open, and Gu Zhenzhi's face appeared before Ruan Cha's eyes.
She quickly helped Shen Susu into the car.
Gu Zhenzhi's expression was frigid as he looked at the crowd outside, then at the marks left by the eggs on Ruan Cha.
His face was thunderous with anger.
"Chen Yan, take care of it."
"Yes, Mr. Gu."
After Chen Yan got out of the car, Ruan Cha wasted no time. She pulled a small emergency medical kit from her backpack.
She dressed the wound with practiced skill, stopping the bleeding, and then drove Shen Susu straight to the hospital.
The night was as cold and dark as ink.
Ruan Cha sat at her desk in the bedroom, her slender, pale fingers flying over the keyboard.
The phone rang. Ruan Cha answered quickly. "Boss, we've found out who that woman was. Her husband cheated on her half a year ago, divorced her, and is now with the mistress. She got too caught up in the rumors online, which is why she showed up at the school."
"Understood," Ruan Cha replied, her eyes glacial.
She stared at the IP address on her screen, comparing it to Ruan Wei's main account. It was identical.
A mocking smile curled her lips.
She immediately registered an account under the name Ruan Cha and posted definitive proof that San Nian Ai Yu was Ruan Wei, tagging Ruan Wei with a single message: "Are you out of your mind?"
