Yun Zhe had only intended to persuade Ruan Cha to admit her mistakes, but he never expected Lin Yao to overhear his words.

His expression shifted instantly. He shoved his phone into his pocket and turned back toward his seat, muttering a dismissive remark before walking away: "It's nothing. You misheard me; I was just talking nonsense."

Upon hearing this, Lin Yao hurried after him. "Is Ruan Cha threatening you? Is that why you're afraid to speak up? Don't trust her; she’s just putting on a show of authority! Let's report this to the school—they will definitely expel her!"

Yun Zhe kept his pale lips pressed together, remaining silent.

Lin Yao sat in the desk in front of him. "Have you ever considered how dangerous it is for someone like her to remain in our class? By helping her cover this up, you are only aiding and abetting a villain!"

At these words, Yun Zhe’s eyes flickered. His fingers reached into his pocket, and he began to pull out his phone. However, before he could fully retrieve it, he shoved it back inside.

Yun Zhe’s hesitation only made Lin Yao more anxious. Seeing his fingers fumbling in his pocket, she immediately guessed that he must be hiding evidence. She leaped from her seat, rushed to his side with lightning speed, and snatched the phone from his pocket.

"What are you doing?!" Yun Zhe’s expression turned nervous as the device was ripped from his grasp.

Seeing his reaction, Lin Yao was even more convinced of her suspicions. The phone must contain some dark secret—perhaps the very proof that Ruan Cha had kidnapped Teacher Li.

Brandishing the phone, she sprinted toward the staff office. "This must be reported to the teachers. If we don't let everyone know that Ruan Cha is the one who abducted Teacher Li, how can we ever have peace again?!"

Yun Zhe chased after her, desperate to retrieve the phone, but as soon as he stepped out of the classroom, he saw Lin Yao handing it to Shen Jie.

Shen Jie strode toward the classroom, and Lin Yao’s voice rang out clearly, "Teacher, there is news about Teacher Li’s disappearance. Ruan Cha kidnapped her! I have the evidence right here, and Yun Zhe knows the truth!"

Shen Jie’s eyes darkened slightly. He took the phone and walked briskly to the classroom entrance.

As Shen Jie entered, Lin Yao stood proudly by his side, casting a look of utter loathing at Ruan Cha.

"Ruan Cha," Shen Jie called out.

Ruan Cha calmly set down her own phone. With a cold, detached gaze, she walked slowly over to Shen Jie. He didn't look at the phone, but instead studied Ruan Cha with a neutral expression. "Lin Yao says you kidnapped Teacher Li. Is this true?"

Ruan Cha looked up, rotating her stiff neck. She pressed her pink lips together, saying nothing. Her expression was unreadable, though the low, oppressive aura surrounding her suggested she was in an extremely foul mood.

Seeing her silence, Shen Jie looked down and unlocked the phone. The screen had no passcode and swiped open immediately.

Shen Jie opened the device and turned to Lin Yao. "Where is the evidence?"

Exhilarated, Lin Yao pointed at Yun Zhe. "It’s Yun Zhe’s phone, Teacher. Ask him."

Shen Jie cast a meaningful glance toward Yun Zhe. The moment Yun Zhe caught that look, a chill ran down his spine. Why did it feel as if... Teacher Shen was threatening him?

Yun Zhe trembled. He reached out with shaking hands, took the phone, and opened the gallery.

Shen Jie watched as he tapped the icon, then took the phone to examine it himself.

The gallery was completely empty. There was not a single image, let alone the evidence Lin Yao had claimed to possess.
