Chapter 59: Alissa's Remedy
Yongcheng, Comprehensive Shopping Center.
"Achoo!"
Lu Li rubbed his nose and shifted his gaze to the Paru's round, perky buttocks.
A fluffy cat tail swayed back and forth, almost as if deliberately trying to tempt someone into a crime.
Lu Li remained silent for a moment before speaking up.
"Alissa, do you happen to be shedding?"
"Huh?" Alissa turned her head in a panic. "N-No, I don't think so..."
"Then why do I keep sneezing..."
"Could it be related to the 'Demonic Qi Erosion'?"
"That's possible..." Lu Li rubbed his nose again, still feeling somewhat uncomfortable.
Despite having the experiences of his past life, Lu Li had never actually experienced the negative physical sensations brought about by 'Demonic Qi Erosion'.
After all, whenever he suffered from 'Demonic Qi Erosion' in his previous life, he would cleanse it immediately; he would never have dragged it out like this.
Damn that Lin Qinyue!
If she hadn't gotten herself captured, he wouldn't have to endure this suffering.
The mere thought that [Bloody Slaughter] still had nearly fifteen hours of cooldown time filled Lu Li with a wave of irritation.
Seeing Lu Li's displeasure, Alissa spoke in a soft voice, "Master, I know a method that might be able to clear away the effects of the 'Demonic Qi Erosion'."
Hearing this, Lu Li's eyes lit up. "What method?"
For some reason, whatever crossed Alissa's mind suddenly caused her face to flush red as she stammered and hesitated.
"Out with it, don't keep me in suspense."
"A virgin's blood..." Alissa uttered the three words in a voice as soft as a mosquito's hum.
Then, as if instantly regretting having said it, she quickly added, "I-It's just an old folk remedy, I have no idea if it actually works..."
The corner of Lu Li's eye twitched as he said dejectedly, "Never mind whether the method works or not; finding a virgin in the first place is impossible..."
Let alone now, when the apocalyptic disaster had erupted and the population had plummeted drastically.
Even before the apocalypse, finding a virgin would still have been a difficult task.
Alissa's face grew even redder as her small hands continuously rubbed the hem of her clothes.
"I-I am intact, I can help Master..."
"Uh..."
Lu Li's breathing hitched as he looked Alissa up and down.
Not until the girl was so embarrassed that she wished she could find a crack in the ground to crawl into did Lu Li shake his head with a strange expression.
"Forget it, I'd better just wait for [Bloody Slaughter] to finish cooling down."
Alissa froze, a wave of inexplicable disappointment welling up in her heart.
The physical purity she regarded as her most precious treasure turned out to be completely worthless in the eyes of Master Lu Li?
Clearly, among the Paru people, her looks and figure were top-tier!
"Why?!"
Alissa couldn't help but voice the question in her heart.
"Uh..." Lu Li scratched his head, feeling somewhat awkward.
Although Alissa's status was that of a slave.
As a master, doing whatever he wanted with a slave would also be considered reasonable.
Yet if that kind of cliché were to actually happen to him, Lu Li always felt something was a bit off.
"...I'm a bit tired, we'd better gather some food first and find a place to rest."
"A bit tired..."
Alissa murmured the words repeatedly.
She suddenly realized something.
Ever since the Nexus Arena, Lu Li seemed not to have rested at all.
He had been fighting continuously.
Anyone else in his position would likely have collapsed long ago.
"So that's how it is... I thought it was because of me... As long as Master Lu Li doesn't despise me, that's enough..."
Alissa's mind raced with random thoughts.
Meanwhile, Lu Li had already begun looting various shops.
Although the apocalypse had broken out only four days ago, the shopping center already bore traces of having been scavenged.
Many stores showed signs of being broken into by brute force, with scattered goods and shattered glass fragments everywhere.
Because he possessed a spatial ring, Lu Li didn't have to worry at all about items expiring, spoiling, or being inconvenient to carry.
Whether it was food, drinks, clothing, or tools, anything that could possibly be of use was packed directly into his ring by Lu Li.
Even the luxury cars parked inside the shopping center were all collected into his possession by Lu Li.
For no other reason than the fact that his ring had immense storage space—it would be a waste not to fill it up!
Following behind Lu Li, Alissa also collected quite a few women's garments.
The only thing that baffled Lu Li considerably was that the clothes Alissa chose required very little fabric.
A large portion of them even leaned toward sensual designs.
Faced with Lu Li's inquiry, Alissa explained that clothes like these were lightweight to wear and made working efficient.
Efficient for what kind of work, for God's sake!
Lu Li felt it was quite necessary for him to take some time to educate this alien servant on Earth's fashion and clothing styles.
After sweeping through the goods in the storefronts, Lu Li and Alissa shifted their efforts to the underground warehouse.
As the largest comprehensive shopping center in Yongcheng, the volume of stored goods in the underground warehouse could almost be described as terrifying.
Yet it was still not enough to fill Lu Li's spatial ring.
After completely emptying the warehouse, three-fifths of the space inside Lu Li's ring still remained.
"Finally done, let's find a place to rest now..."
Lu Li stretched lazily and left the shopping center together with Alissa.
However, the moment the two of them stepped out the front doors, they ran head-on into a group of survivors dressed in all sorts of mismatched attire.
Judging by their appearance, they had come to the shopping center to scavenge for supplies.
A man dressed in white-collar attire with a refined appearance stepped out from the crowd, extended his right hand toward Lu Li, and said, "Hello there, friend. My name is Song Siming, and I'm the leader of the survivors in this area."
Lu Li glanced at the right hand suspended before him without shaking it, and said indifferently, "Hello. If there's nothing else, please step aside. Thank you."
With that, he led Alissa toward the side, attempting to bypass the group of survivors.
Song Siming wore an embarrassed expression and hurriedly took a half-step sideways to block Lu Li's path. "Don't be afraid, friend. We aren't bad guys."
"I have no interest in making friends." Lu Li frowned slightly.
Right now, all he wanted was to find a place to sleep properly, recover his energy, and figure out how to rescue Lin Qinyue.
He really didn't want to deal with survivors.
Perhaps sensing Lu Li's cold attitude, the smile on Song Siming's face vanished, and he said expressionlessly, "If that's the case, then please hand over your supplies."
"This comprehensive shopping center is our territory. You have no right to take away a single thing from inside."
Lu Li paused, then sneered, "The apocalypse has descended and order has collapsed. What gives you the right to claim this place is your territory?"
Song Siming stiffened his neck, a fierce look crossing his face. "Just the brothers standing behind me! If you know what's good for you, hand over the supplies quickly!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the survivors drew their respective weapons.
A few of them even activated their innate talents, exuding a murderous aura.
"I don't want to cause trouble." Lu Li frowned and retreated half a step silently.
Sensing something, Alissa reached her small hand toward her spatial ring.
The subtle movements of the two did not escape the eyes of the survivors, and a few of the more hot-headed ones even started shouting at the top of their lungs.
"Brother Ming, stop wasting your breath on the two of them, let's just make a move!"
"I can see they have a spatial ring on them; there's probably plenty of good stuff on them!"
"Let's all rush them together! Beat the guy to death on the spot, and rape and kill the woman first!"
"Hehehe, this chick is even dressed as a coser, what a nice little slut. Let me be the first to fuck her later!"
Listening to the shouting of the crowd, Song Siming acted as though he had already secured his victory, grinning hideously as he closed in on the two of them.
"It looks like trouble has found you this time..."
